About Me

Cloud Architect and DevOps consultant at AWS.

I'm Sébastien Serre, a French Cloud Architect and DevOps engineer. I currently work as a Professional Services Consultant at Amazon Web Services in Warsaw, where I help industry-leading companies design and ship scalable Cloud solutions with CDK, Terraform, Docker — and, lately, generative AI.

The journey here was anything but a straight line. I was born in France, but at six years old I moved to China with my family — first to Wuhan, then to Shanghai, where I grew up and earned my French Baccalaureate at the French School of Shanghai.

I then came back to Paris for a Master's in Computer Science at Efrei Paris, adding an Advanced Master's in International Management at Grenoble École de Management along the way. During my first internship at Revolve I discovered AWS, earned my first certification within a few months, and haven't really left the Cloud since.

An exchange semester at Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika) brought me to Poland in 2020, and I joined AWS there the year after. This website is where I write about what I learn on the way — DevOps, security, AI, AWS and the odd side project.
